Africa stands as the second-largest tourism region globally, sustaining over 21 million livelihoods and generating nearly $22 billion in annual revenue. Yet, despite this significant contribution, the sector continues to reflect a disproportionate gender imbalance, with women underrepresented across leadership, ownership, and high-value segments of the tourism value chain.
